The European University Association (EUA) organizes its first Funding Forum at the University of Salzburg, Austria. The conference targets participants among university managers and representatives, ministries and other governing bodies, public funders, private funders and students. Experts from the European Commission, the Heads of University Management & Administration Network in Europe (HUMANE), the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA), and the OECD will present and participate. The conference will comprise separate sessions on the financial crisis, the management of multiple income sources, developments towards performance based funding, new sources of income for higher education, taking student needs into account in view of the financial crisis, and responding to changing funding models.
Deadline for registration is 24 May 2012
I probably missed something, but finally someone puts a pressing issue on the agenda and considering that EUA presents it as the first Funding Forum, it does not assume the problem will disappear soon.
